No Caption This weekend our members had the opportunity for top-notch training by Training to Perform Under Pressure sponsored by the Gary Sinise Foundation This training included a series of 3 full days of training including Irons and Cans, Thermal Imager Operator,

These 3 classes helped sharpen our skills with forcible entry, search and rescue, and water can techniques. This training also taught us how to better understand what the thermal imager is showing and telling us based on heat signatures and convection currents.

Weldon Fire Company thanks Glick for allowing Tom to remain on location to help keep over a dozen fire apparatus at the scene in service to continue mitigating the incident. The volume of water the pumpers and ladder trucks moved at the scene and the length of time they did it can be hard on fire trucks, and Glick and Tom's willingness to stay to service the fire apparatus truly represents the spirit ...
